A bitcoin-exchange Bittrex has announced the opening of an international unit, which will focus on the company’s activities outside the United States. The company also announced the launch of a new platform of digital assets in Malta.
As stated in the statement of the Seattle-based exchange, Bittrex International should become the “leading force of the blockchain-revolution” and promote wider acceptance of this innovative technology throughout the world.
Simultaneously, it announced the creation of Bittrex Malta, a platform for digital assets that will operate in Malta. Each digital asset at Bittrex Malta will also be available for the international network of Bittrex exchanges, and the platform will operate within the regulatory framework of the European Union and the Government of Malta.
In September, Bittrex acquired a 10% stake in Maltese blockchain company Palladium, which should become the “first regulated and unified platform” for fiat money, banks and crypto-exchanges.
