Cardano founder unveils a wallet – browser extension called Icarus

Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IOHK, the firm behind famous Cardano, announced that on August 15 he was going to reveal something “big” – allegedly, his new project.

However, a day earlier, on August 14, Hoskinson told about some of characteristics of his creation, and it is a Google Chrome extension called Icarus.

He further explained that in the future Icarus can be added to other platforms, such as Mozilla Firefox and even mobile apps. It is basically a wallet of Google Chrome, which does not maintain a copy of blockchain, is a light wallet, but it can make it easier for users to perform actions similar to Daedalus functionality. Daedalus can be integrated into Icarus as well.
