This statement was made by Changpeng Zhao in response to an accusation from crypto enthusiast Christopher Franko. Franko received a letter allegedly from an employee of the exchange that the fee of token listing on Binance would be 400 BTC. Although Franco showed a letter from email@example.com, Zhangpen said that it was a scam, and information was false. He explained:
We don’t list shitcoins even if they pay 400 or 4,000 BTC. ETH/NEO/XRP/EOS/XMR/LTC/more listed with no fee. Question is not “how much does Binance charge to list?” but “is my coin good enough?” It’s not the fee, it’s your project! Focus on your own project!

It is worth noting that listing fees do exist on Binance – however, as Changpeng Zhao, those complaining about fees are the projects that were not accepted and, thus, not charged.
