Firefox developers in the upcoming releases of the popular web browser will implement automatic locking programs for hidden mining.
Representatives of the non-profit organization Mozilla Foundation has announced their intention to blockchain “malicious practices” in new versions of the browser. Some new features are already available in the beta version of Firefox Nightly.
According to the vice-president for the development of Firefox, one of the developers’ goals is to discourage third-party programs that can complicate the user’s work. Such scripts are usually built into websites and can manage computing power without the knowledge of users. Some programs use significant device resources for the purpose of hidden crypto currency mining.
It is reported that new functions can appear already in release Firefox 63.
