As stated in a press release, ZEGO has launched a project to use blockchain technology to test products for the glyphosate residue and trace it.

This move is supposedly connected with a famous Monsanto lawsuit for $289 million. New technology introduced by food safety firm ZEGO is targeting this type of cases – offering to scan for traces of glyphosate to ensure safety.

Monsanto, owned by a German agrochemical company, was fined for $289 million due to poisoning by unsafe chemicals. A herbicide utilized contained glyphosate, which later caused cancer of an employee.
