French citizen Gal Vallerius has been accused of selling drugs in the Dark Web using the nickname OxyMonster. US special services arrested him last September in Atlanta, after he arrived in the country to be a participant in World Beard and Mustache Championships. Vallerius pleaded guilty to the charge.

During the investigation it was found that Vallerius created his own system for accepting tips on the platform of the Dream Market, refusing to use the internal payment system of the marketplace, which involves the mechanism of anonymous transactions.

The police also found that 15 out of 17 outgoing transactions from Vallerius’ tipping box were carried out on his bitcoin-wallets on LocalBitcoins. There were also found similarities between the author’s styles of Vallerius and OxyMonster on Twitter and Instagram.

OxyMonster was engaged in selling drugs such as cocaine, fentanyl, LSD, oxycodone and methamphetamine. The Frenchman agreed with the accusations and confessed in money laundering.

By signing a guilty plea Vallerius avoided lifetime sentence, however, he now faces around twenty years in prison.
