Employees of the Bahamas will now be able to share and verify their educational certificates from anywhere in the world reducing bureaucracy and increasing convenience. The first electronic certificates of the Bahamas were issued at the end of June by the National Training Agency of the country for 78 participants of the initiative aimed at training trainees.
Participants in the initiative store their Bahamas Blockcert portfolio in a mobile application, it consists of a set of URLs that uniquely identify each digital certificate a person has.
In the future the Academy intends to issue digital blockchain certificates for all of its training courses offered to unemployed citizens.
Currently, the National Training Agency in the Bahamas is the only body that produces digital blockchain certificates, although it is planned to add 23 more national agencies to the project.
