Maltese blockchain start-up Palladium has launched the world’s first ICCO. The project was supported by the crypto-exchange Bittrex, according to its website.
ICCO is the initial convertible coin offering. Three years after the tokens, investors will be able to transfer them to the company’s shares. This is the main difference between the campaign and the traditional ICO.
It is expected the project will create more than 100 new workplaces. At the launch ceremony of the ICCO, which was attended by the Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat, the Secretary of the Parliament for Financial Services Silvio Shembri and the Director of MFSA Joseph Cushieri, the representative of the Palladium highly appreciated the country’s friendly policy regarding to crypto and blockchain.
