The victims of the closure of the Japanese stock exchange MtGox company along with individuals will now be able to use the program to return funds held on the purses of the exchange. This is reported on the site Mt.Gox.
The announcement of the launch of the program for the return of funds for individuals was held on August 23. The deadline for applying for a refund is 22 October. For legal entities the deadline is set on the same date.
The document was signed by lawyer Nobuaki Kobayashi from Tokyo, appointed representative of Mt.Gox for bankruptcy of the exchange and reimbursement of funds to the victims.
Earlier, the Tokyo District Court decided to begin the process of civil rehabilitation of the bankrupt MtGox in February 2019. After this decision, Kobayashi stopped selling cryptocurrency from the exchange’s reserves.
