The President of the Russian Federation has a new adviser on digital development

Russian president Vladimir Putin has appointed presidental press secretary Dmitry Peskov from Strategic Initiatives Agency for strategic initiatives (ASI) to promote new projects his special representative on issues of digital and technological development.

“The President signed a decree on the special representative of the Russian president on issues of digital and technological development, Dmitry Peskov said. – This special representative appointed Peskov Dmitry Nikolayevich, who headed one of the directions in ASI”.

The press secretary added that Peskov’s tasks will include coordinating work on digitization of the economy and the social field. He will also ensuring the technological breakthrough that Putin spoke of in his message to the parliament.

Peskov will not be an employee of the Kremlin administration. He will be head of new ANO (autonomous non-commercial organization), which will appear from ASI.
