An american provider of enterprise software with open source Red Hat has filed a patent application for the development of blockchain systems for tracking the use of cloud software. The document is available on the website of the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
The application says that with the help of a blockchain one can track the time of using the company’s products on cloud platforms, which, in turn, will make the tariff policy more flexible. So, customers will be able to pay for software products not based on the annual subscription, but based on the time of use.
The Red Hat team believes that the blockchain system will help suppliers of various solutions track the use of their products in different cloud networks.
