While the whole UK is fascinated by the royal wedding, the very first royal-themed cryptocurrency is being created with the assistance of ICO Rocket. It is called called the Crown Royale (Royl) and is is timed to celebrate the union of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
It launched its crowdsale on the 2nd of April skipping the first stage of ICO. Half of all the funds raised will be allocated to three charities chosen by the new couple – Sentebale, The Invictus Games, and The Royal Foundation. The other half will go to the Crown and Country Magazine to help fund a special edition celebrating the Royal Wedding.
Shahar Namer, CEO of The ICO Rocket said: “As the exclusive advisers for the Royal Coin, we are excited to launch this unique fundraising, to honour the royal wedding, one of the most anticipated moments of the year. […] This coin not only celebrates a marriage but also channels cryptocurrency toward three noble causes.”
