According to CoinDesk, the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Blockstation blockchain startup, upon which it will create a platform for trading digital assets.
It is not yet clear which digital currencies or tokens will be included in the listing of the new platform. However, it is known that the trading platform will start working at the end of this year.
Technological solutions for the new platform will be provided by Blockstation. Also, the new platform will interact with the existing JSE infrastructure. This approach will allow qualified investors to participate in the bidding process.
