Cryptocurrency Tron (TRX) began its migration from the Ethereum to its own public blockchain at the end of May 2018. 39 exchanges supported the swap. Today, as planned, the migration of tokens was completed. Justin Sun and his team already called it the Independence Day of TRON.
To celebrate, according to Sun, TRON Foundation team will burn 1 billion TRX tokens.
While Tron has positioned itself as a competitor to Ethereum and decided to establish its own protocol to address rival’s “inefficiencies”, the project was rebuked earlier this year for using code from the protocol without providing an attribution. These accusations were closely followed by claims that project team had plagiarized their white paper.
