The Minister of Finance of Turkey made an initiative to develop the digital economic sector in the country and support the ICO at the state level.

The new medium-term economic program (MTP) of Minister Berat Albaiur was reported this week by local media. According to Albaiar, thanks to MTP, Turkey’s GDP could grow by 3.8% by the end of 2018. Within the framework of the MTP, the Office for Transformation and Public Finance Management has already been established. MTP includes a list of various measures to strengthen the national currency, the Turkish lira, including government plans to maintain the ICO sector.

Turkey is waiting for economic recovery and bold initiatives from its political leaders, because the sharp and significant drop in the Turkish lira has already caused a stir at local crypto-exchanges.

Albayrak believes that the maintenance of ICO projects can become the most effective and innovative state program. Turkey will also study the possibility of creating a national cryptocurrency, backed by ICO.
