President of the United States Donald Trump has signed a decree on the creation of a working group whose tasks, among other things, will be the investigation of crimes committed using bitcoin and other digital currencies.
In a document published on the White House website, the fight against crypto fraud is placed as a priority task.
It is assumed that the working group will submit a report on this issue to the presidential administration.
Earlier this year, another working group was formed in the United States on the issue of cryptocurrency. The initiative was headed by the Ministry of Finance of the country, which stated that it will cooperate with international partners from the G-20 to prevent the use of bitcoin in illegal activities.
