According to the website of the U.S. Department of Justice, two men, Ryan Farace and Robert Swain, are accused of manufacturing narcotics and selling them through darknet marketplaces.

Later, Farace and Swain were alleged to have gained profits from drug distributing in BTC during the period from November 2013 to June 2017, which were confiscated by special services.

According to the Department of Justice’s announcement, law enforcements seek the seizure of more than $5.6 million and the value of 4000 BTC. It is not the first time that the U.S. government confiscates cryptocurrencies. In March, country’s authorities were seeking to seize 500 BTC from defendants accused of using fake ID documents.
